On the move with confidence in the new Tiguan Allspace

The new Tiguan Allspace already has the lane keeping assistant "Lane Assist", the automatic distance control ACC with speed limiter, the parking aid and the emergency braking assistant "Front Assist" on board as standard. The new Tiguan Allspace can be equipped with additional assistance systems, for example with the Driver Assistance System. We have Driver Assistance Package 'Plus' available as an option for Tiguan Life and Tiguan Elegance.

Equipped for heavy attachment

The new Tiguan Allspace can tow up to 2.5 tonnes, for example with a camping or horse trailer. The optional ball coupling is concealed under the rear and semi-automatically folds down when required at the press of a button. And since it isn’t always easy to manoeuvre with a trailer, the optional Trailer Assist trailer manoeuvring system can help⁠(6).

Trailer Assist

Guides you comfortably to your destination

Little is more difficult than reversing with a trailer. That is unless you are sitting in the new Tiguan Allspace: simply engage reverse gear, press the parking switch, enter the desired direction of travel for the trailer, and calmly take your hands off the steering wheel. Now you only have to press the accelerator, brake and monitor the surroundings – the optional Trailer Assist will take care of the rest. (⁠7) Even with a trailer weight of up to 2.5 tonnes ⁠(8), manoeuvring is effortless.  

(7).Within the limits of the system. The driver must be prepared at all times to override the assist system, and is in no way released from their responsibility to drive the vehicle with caution.

4MOTION

Traction in action

In wet or icy conditions, or on rough ground surfaces, the optional 4MOTION all-wheel drive makes sure that the engine’s power is spread across all four wheels as required. This minimises wheelspin and allows your new Tiguan Allspace to gain better traction on the ground. Using the 4MOTION Active Control electronic driving profile program that was specially developed for the permanent all-wheel drive, the drive properties can be optimally adjusted to the ground surface. This offers you a particularly high degree of comfort and driving fun. (⁠6)

Driving profile selection

As flexible as your driving style

Using the optional driving profile selection⁠(9), the new Tiguan Allspace adapts itself to your driving style and to the road conditions. Simply select the driving profile you want with a tap of your finger and the drive system, steering and even gear-shift points (with DSG) will be adjusted automatically.

• Normal: for everyday routes from A to B
• Sport: for sporty driving performances with corresponding engine speeds

The new Tiguan Allspace exhibits a great sense of style: from the very front, with its striking radiator grille and the elegant signature light, its premium claim is clear. Every one of the selectable alloy wheels underlines its sporty drive power, while the dark red LED tail light clusters and an unbroken reflector strip highlight the powerful rear of the Elegance trim. The overall impression of the new Tiguan Allspace stands testament to a bold SUV character, allowing it to proudly bear its “Tiguan Allspace” lettering at the rear.

IQ.Light LED matrix headlights

For a dynamic appearance without dazzling

The new Tiguan Allspace radiates its full splendour. The optional⁠(3) IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights make sure of that. These are additionally equipped with a cornering light and include the Dynamic Light Assist advanced main-beam control. Moreover, individual LED segments for the light distributions are specifically switched on or off depending on the driving situation. This not only allows you to relax while driving, but also all those driving in front of or behind you as well. Also included in the package are LED tail light clusters and the integrated dynamic turn signal, which indicates the direction using a flowing light movement.

Interior

Combining digital convenience with timeless comfort

Clear shapes, high-quality decorative elements, spacious layout – in the new Tiguan Allspace, you can not only see the space, but feel it, too. For example, when you settle into the comfort seats and take hold of the leather multifunction steering wheel. A glance at the cockpit suffices to see that the digital age has arrived. High-resolution displays and touch-sensitive surfaces dominate, such as the 3-zone “Air Care Climatronic” air conditioning system. You no longer need to use your hands to change the radio station or enter a destination into the navigation system; thanks to the optional voice control you only need to say what you want.

Backlight Lighting

With the multi-coloured background lighting(⁠4), you will see the new Tiguan Allspace in a new light. You can choose from amongst 30 different colours to illuminate the interior with your favourite colour, and also create a cooler or warmer atmosphere. Whether travelling as a twosome or with the family, driving through a brightly lit city or along a dark country road: you can create a different ambience to suit you and your passengers depending on the mood and situation

Whether it's shopping in the city or picking up the children from school, thanks to the generous space you can take advantage of plenty of head and legroom on both the front and rear seats, and have plenty of space for yourself and your favourite things. Thanks to the fold-down seats and also the third row of seats, the vehicle interior behind the front seats can be adapted to the situation: the Tiguan’s space concept is as flexible as you are.

Load space volume and Easy Open & Close

When all of the seating rows in the new Tiguan Allspace are folded down the loading compartment offers a volume of up to 1,755 litres. Depending on which seats you fold down, you can vary the seating and loading compartment volume to suit your requirements. The practical part is that the outer seats can be folded down with just a single movement to make space for long objects. In addition, a small movement of the foot under the rear of the vehicle is sufficient to open the boot lid via the optional Easy Open & Close sensor-controlled luggage compartment opener(⁠3).

Take a seat and relax. The optional ergoActive front seats⁠(5) not only look sophisticated, they can also be comfortably adjusted via electric controls and, thanks to the lumbar support, are particularly kind to your back. The driver can also look forward to an integrated massage function

Tilting and sliding panoramic sunroom

Pure heaven: the panoramic sunroof

Generous dimensions for great impressions: The optional tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof extends across almost the entire surface of the roof, and even offers passengers in the rear a view to the heavens. How about a little fresh air, too? The front half of the sunroof can be tilted forwards or pushed backwards at the touch of a button⁠(3).

Air conditioning system "Air Care Climatronic"

Pleasant climate for everyone

Your passengers want it cooler, but you want it warmer? With the three-zone temperature control, you can separately adjust the temperatures on the driver side, passenger side and on the rear seats. Thanks to intuitive touch operation, you conveniently control the standard Air Care Climatronic air conditioning system within your field of vision. The blower speed can be automatically reduced depending on the vehicle speed to lower the air conditioning volume. And the “Air Care Climatronic” air conditioning system can do even more: it has an activated carbon filter with an allergenic function that keeps pollen out almost entirely. In addition, it also reduces the penetration of nitrogen oxides, fine dust, viruses, bacteria and unpleasant odors, thereby improving the air quality. If you operate the windscreen cleaner or engage reverse gear, it automatically switches to air recirculation mode. This ensures a good all-round driving climate.
